About Makayla

My name is Makayla Lewis and I am a monitor engineer for live events and concerts. While I currently reside in Jersey City, New Jersey, I was born and raised in the home of country music; Nashville, Tennessee. There, I graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Audio Engineering Technology with a minor in Music Business. Even though my speciality is monitor engineering, while at Belmont, I gained a passion for concert lighting and lighting design.

 

Right after college in 2022, I moved to New Jersey to start my first job as a monitor engineer and tour operations at Studio PAV. I have been blessed to work and tour with various K-POP artists as their monitor engineer, RF Tech, and/or stagehand in three different continents: North America, South America, and Europe. I am currently working and am hitting 3 years of employment there, but am always open and searching for more gigs and opportunities in the industry and grow as an engineer.
